2005 Petite Sirah – Brown Barn Vines - $24 / bottle
A Petite Sirah that truly represents the deep purple color and huge, robust structure of the varietal, this wine also has the intense fruitiness typical of all of our vineyards. The flavor is flush with blueberries and blackberries along with a balance of spices and black pepper. A finish of chocolate completes a real mouthful.

These new vines were planted on the southern hillside near the big brown barn, built in 1997, now home to our winery. Already producing delicious fruit from a variety of old-vine clone selections, we expect consistent quality in future vintages. Jim calls it: Darn fine barn wine.

2005 Zinfandel Voigt Family Vineyard - $24 / bottle
This is a classic Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel full of spice and brilliant fruit. The Voigt family planted vines on their home ranch in the same area of a late-19th century vineyard, on steeply terraced ground. Head pruned, they have the look and feel of age-old Zin. And, the taste…ripe red plums dominate the aromas and flavors, followed by black cherries and toasted oak. Fine, ripe tannins and well-modulated oak flavors complement the fruit and confer good balance. The wine finishes as it starts, with red plums, black cherries and smooth oak.

In addition to growing stunning Zinfandel at their home ranch, Al and Judy Voigt have been instrumental in bringing art to public areas in Sonoma County. For more information, please check their web site at www.voigtfoundation.com.

2006 Zinfandel Ancestor Vines - $22 / bottle
This vineyard was planted to honor our Alexander Valley ancestors in winegrape growing. Cuttings were taken from old vines originally grown by families Pastori, Brignoli, Nervo, Vasconi, Mazzoni, Pachetti, and Osborn.

The resulting wine is a classic Zinfandel, with aromas of berries and spice and a black pepper backbone. Softened tannins are in balance with the fruit and acid components, attained by 20-month aging in French and American oak barrels.
Alc. 14.8       pH 3.67       TA 0.69
2006 Sisters Meritage Blend - $34 / bottle
Our Sisters is a blend of the “Five Sisters of Bordeaux”: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot, all estate-grown. The result is an opulent wine, flush with the taste of black cherry and plum and notes of chocolate on the finish. Aged both in French and American oak for 20 months prior to release, this wine is at once enjoyable and age-worthy for at least a decade.
As Eliza was the youngest of five sisters, she considers herself the Petit Verdot – thick-skinned and late blooming.
Alc. 14.3    pH 3.81    TA 0.62
Port Chocolates - $6 / box
We send our port to a local chocolatier, who encases the wine in delicious dark chocolate, and packs them in boxes of six. Be sure to consume whole – they dribble!
